Christmas Movie Review
I will preface this by saying that I give a lot of leeway to these types of movies as I am aware that most of them are made of tv or of the same caliber. I mean I know I’m not in the theatre when I’m watching these, and If I paid to go see one I would be like what the hell is this?
A Christmas Prince – This was cute, I recommend it. I am a sucker for becoming a princess type things also I like the lead character and her perchance for wearing chucks, plus I alredy like Rose McIver. I like the sassy sister. I didn’t love the like evil couple that are intent on ruining everything. However, I get that that’s just how these movies are sometimes.
A Christmas Prince: The Royal Wedding – The whole money plot seemed shoved into the spaces between the wedding plot. Couldn’t we have just had the wedding plot? Overall since I already liked the characters this was entertaining enough. Actually I think I would have liked this no matter what after seeing her wear glittery chucks as she marrying the king of a country.
The princess Switch – I kind of love a good swich plot. This one was cute, I don’t know if I would watch it every year or anything but it was entertaining. I like Vanessa Hudgens a lot after she was on that show that was cancelled Poweless. I really liked that show… anyway also this is so weird to be stuck on but what was with all her brown lipstick? Is it 1994?
The Christmas Calendar – I give this one points for switching up the love interest, but it wasn’t very memorable. To be honest at this point I just remember that I didn’t like the first guy.
Christmas in the Smokies – This one was actually okay though they didn’t even kiss at the end, how rude? I have to say though that the main dude’s acting in this is terrible. Everyone else is just fine and then when he’s talking it brings everything down.
The Christmas Spirit – I have to say I enjoyed this one more than I thought I would. Maybe cuz I thought the guy was cute. Anyway it is a completely rediculous premise which I enjoy since all of these movies are reduculous but in more normal ways. Does that make sense? I would watch this again.
The Christmas Wedding Planner – This one was, by far, the worst. The acting was terrible, the production value was terrible, the ending was super stupid and the guy wasn’t even cute. I would say the only redeeming factor is the main characters kind of silly-ness. Also I like a little romance when they start out hating each other, as cliche as that is, but it’s really not worth the watch.
The Christmas Chronicles – I thought this movie was fun. Though I watched it with my daughter and in the first few minutes the boy was stealing cars and I was like, oh boy what are we watching? I was annoyed at how no one beleived he was Santa even though he kept saying unbeliveable stuff. What was with those people? Anyway it was cute, my daughter was terrified but she’s scared of most things.
All these can be watched on NetFlix, happy watching!
