Christmas To Do List

Now normally I’m a real Christmas humbug. Christmas time is full of obligations and pressure and with my job it was always the busiest time in in the year there as well. Well this year the job isn’t a factor, we arn’t hosting any Holiday anything at our house and I’ve (with people’s concent of course) made the list of people I need to shop for much shorter. So I’ve decided to have a super Christmas-y Christmas. (Let’s see how far I get before I get all grouchy.)

This is my list of fun things I want to do this Christmas:

Watch all the Christmas movies

I am working on this one already. I have watched The Christmas Prince, The Princess Switch, The Christmas Wedding Planer, The Grinch, The Christmas Chronicles.

Something I didn’t know about Christmas movies, sometimes they are made on the cheap. Seriously when I was watching The Christmas Wedding Planner my husband thought it was a reality show or commercial the production value was so bad. And there are actually people I recognize in it, Like Joey Fatone was in it, what is that? That movie was a little ridiculous, I don’t really recommend it. I have, however thoroughly enjoyed all of the nexflix ones.

Drink Hot CoCoa with my daughter

I have to get some really good CoCoa though, we have stuff in packets that are like sugar free or something. What was I thinking with that?

Set up the tree

I already have this done! I used to always have a themed tree in my head but my family always nixes that idea. Last year I bought a bunch of shell looking ornaments and declared we were going to have a mermaid tree, yeah that didn’t work out. They want to hang whatever orinments they want to hang. You try telling a 5 year old she can’t put the Care Bears on the tree. Anyway it is always fun and nostalgic no matter what the tree looks like. Now I just need to get my daughter to  stop taking the ornaments off the tree and playing with them.

Go somewhere fun and see the lights

I have never done this with Rory except just driving around the neighborhood and I think she would love it.

Bake Christmas cookies, or something like that

I’m thinking I might make truffles, I don’t know I’m feeling really ambitious right now but I think when I start doing this I’ll get annoyed and want to stop. Anyway my Daughter is playing this Hello Kitty game on her Kindle where you bake stuff and it got me wanting to make things. What a weirdo reason.

Any traditions you love to do at Christmas time?
